Unlike invasive fat reduction procedures like liposuction, there is no need to fast or otherwise prepare for a deoxycholic acid treatment. What you should do, however, is consult with us at Dr. Golberg Wellness & Functional Medicine to ensure you’re a good candidate for it. Aside from that, it’s recommended that you avoid ibuprofen and acetaminophen prior to undergoing the treatment, as those over-the-counter pain medications can increase the chances of bruising post-treatment.The effects of a deoxycholic acid treatment take some time to develop, and the number of treatments you’ll need will depend upon your goals and the size of the submental fullness being treated. The initial results from your first treatment will start to become noticeable at around the four-week mark. It takes the body time to process the fat cells killed by the injections and remove them from the treated area. The upside of the wait is that it gives the skin time to adjust and mold itself around the new contours of the jawline. After four weeks or so, you’ll be eligible for a second treatment. You can have up to six treatments, but they must be spaced out by at least one month. When you visit our office for your initial conversation, we’ll discuss your goals and come up with a treatment plan that includes the number of treatments you’ll need. In trials, 59% of people required the full course of six treatments to achieve their desired results.

The primary benefit of this type of treatment is that you get the results of a facelift without the extravagant costs or extended downtime. However, this is just where the benefits begin. There is no strict post-treatment regimen that you must follow.Even better, there’s no downtime or recovery period. Once your treatment is finished, you just have to wait for the results. Finally, because the treatment uses your own plasma, there’s no risk of allergies, treatment rejection, or other potential negative reactions. This treatment promotes the growth of strong, healthy tissue at the cellular level. Once your platelets have been carefully extracted from your plasma, we activate them. This prompts the release of certain growth factors. When the platelet-rich plasma is injected into the desired treatment sites, skin tightening and rejuvenation are triggered.Depending on your desired results, this treatment may be combined with other facial rejuvenation treatments. For example, if you’re looking to add volume to sunken, hollow cheeks, a PRP facelift may be followed with hyaluronic acid filler injections, such as Restylane or Juvederm.

CoolSculpting is one of the most popular fat removal treatments on the market. It has been FDA-approved for nearly two decades and works via the incredible power of cryolipolysis, or freezing.First, a cool gel is applied to the treatment area. Then, a roll of your fat is placed between two panels and the device is turned on. The CoolSculpting device freezes the fat without damaging the surrounding tissue, such as your skin and muscle cells. Eventually, the fat cells die. The treatment area is massaged to break up frozen blocks of fat, and the dead fat cells go through your lymphatic system.Your lymphatic system is made up of several types of tissues, including lymph vessels, nodes, and ducts. Collectively, your lymph vessels form a network of branches that reach nearly all of your other tissues. They function very similarly to your blood vessels and work in tandem with your blood vessels to return fluid from the tissues. But your lymphatic system doesn’t just assist in transporting fluids. It also transports dead fat cells. Whether you have dead fat cells in your chin, underarms, the backs of your knees, or your buttocks, your lymphatic system has reached there. It will pick up the dead fat cells and transport them throughout your body until they arrive at your gut and are “eaten” by deoxycholic acid.

Invisalign® is an invisible solution. So you won’t draw undue attention to your mouth while in treatment. In fact, virtually no one will know you’re wearing them unless you tell. Comfortable to wear, Invisalign® aligners are also removable so you can eat, drink, brush, and floss as usual.Unlike regular braces where you are getting generalized pressure on your teeth, Invisalign® applies more specific pressure on your teeth so Invisalign ® causes little to no pain as reported by my patients. If you do feel any pain it is usually during the initial 2-3 days day which then quickly subsides. The Cost of Invisalign® varies depending on the complexity of the treatment. Also a cost factor can be if you need to treat just upper or lower arch which are available for Invisalign ® express. To get the best idea of the price of Invisalign Manhattan come in for your free Invisalign ® consultation.Dr. Lezhansky talks explains that the Invisalign orthodontic system prevents cavities because patients remove aligners to brush and floss. As with any orthodontic treatment, wearing a retainer for years to come—usually at night while sleeping–prevents teeth from moving out of position.
