You have the option to import the account details, lists, and files while using the online version of the QuickBooks software. But, you first have to export this data to the software. It, therefore, has a feature that prevents the overwriting and deletion of the same files and enables you to prepare properly arranged files. It does not affect the current files, transactions, and connections. There is a different method to import the chart of accounts from the QuickBooks Online. Note – Before stating the import process, you must make sure that the files name should not contain non-alphanumeric characters. Log in – First of all, you have to log into the company file. Click on the Gear icon from the top of the screen and open the menu to Import Data. It will display the list from which you have to import the data. Select the files – You will see a tab named Browse; click on it to open the list. Click open and then Next. It will display all the files which the software has recognized. You can expand the drop-down menu to find out the files which QuickBooks could not trace. Click Import – You must click on the Import button after selecting the desired files.
