The movie industry is like a race, having all of the cars as the contenders. These movies strive hard to be on the top. Being on the top means to get to the top grossing state. Like having an actual race, every contender has to reach the finish line, and in the movie industry that is reaching the target market value. Reaching the market value means that movie earns more than what is spent in the production of that movie. Some movies really made in on the finish line or shall we say, did make it in reaching the target market value. However, some are just very unfortunate that they did not even reach the target market value. What they earned did not even reach the equivalent of how much the spent for their movie production. Here are some of the movies that failed to reach its target market value. These free movies are presented in no particular order.
Happy Tears which has Demi Moore, Parker Posey, Rip Torn and Ellen Barkin presents the story of the two sisters named Jane (Parker Posy), and Laura (Demi Moore). These sisters werevery close together that there was a time when they decided to return to their home together to deal with Joe (Rip Torn), their criticizing father. However as they went home, they faced a situations that was not as good as they had expected. This movie is of the movies who did not reach its target market value. Despite having good actors and actresses, the reason was not known for failing to reach the finish line.
This movie is a combination of comedy, drama and romance. It tells a story about a girl who goes to a vacation in Italy. She made her trip to find an unanswered “Letter to Juliet”. This letter is one what was left among the thousands letter at the fictional lover’s Verona courtyard. But the rest of the letters were already answered by the so-called “secretaries of Juliet”. Considering the all-in-one movie, Letters t Juliet also seemed to fail in reaching their target market value.
This is a combination of comedy, drama, and mystery. This movie features Robert Duvall and Sissy Spacek. Furthermore, this is a mixture of folk tale, fable, and real-life legend. This movie tells about the 1930 Tennesse hermit that is so mysterious. The said hermit became famous when he threw his own rollicking funeral party. Despite of this interesting story, this movie has not reached all the interest of the people.
